Langaro Lifestyle Centre supports Project Dignity for Women’s Month 2018

This year Langaro Lifestyle Center will dedicate the month of August to empower young girls of South Africa and we would like you to join us. As a wellness environment predominantly servicing women by women, we believe in a beautiful you which extends beyond skin deep which is why we’ve chosen to support Project Dignity.

It is a widespread but unacknowledged problem that girls in Africa miss school and stay at home because of menstruation. According to UNICEF, one in ten schoolgirls in Africa miss classes or drop out completely due to their period, and substitute regular pads or tampons for less safe and less absorbent materials such as rags, newspaper or bark.

Project Dignity is an organisation which aims to increase opportunities for girls to complete their education with dignity by educating and supplying 100% bio-degradable reusable sanitary pads and panties. The Project Dignity SUBZ PACK contains a 100%, cotton re-usable sanitary pad and panty which allows the skin to breathe. It’s fully washable and reusable, last up to 5 years and is fully biodegradable.

For the month of August, we will donate 5% of the proceeds of every service to Project Dignity to assist in their cause to reduce absenteeism and dropout rates of young girls. We’ll be working via The Shala Yoga studio in Cape Town and The EarthChild Project which aims to supply 100 Subz packs for the next 100 girls in 2019.

Together, lets keep the future leaders of our country in school, were they belong. Thank you for supporting Langaro in this campaign.
