On Saturday 10 February 2018, we launched shop.langaro.com,the e-commerce portal of our style boutique. We hosted a fashion show as our contribution towards the Horses 4 Causes Kenilworth Race Day charity fundraiser at Kenilworth Racecourse. As you may know, we’ve chosen to be a benefactor of Horses for Causes; H4C a Cape Town-based trust which supports 12 NGO’s including The South African Jockey Academy and The Cart Horse Protection Association.
While guests feasted in both the VIP Peninsula Room and the “party-bus” Kenilworth Room, our bevy of models – who have now become friends – we presented eight looks styled by Duncan Pape. With makeup by Kirsty Da costa and hair by Gailene Thora, clothing, bags and belts from Les Temps des Cerises, Lui Jo, Gordon Smith, Darling London and Cream Clothing came to life. Sunglasses by Ross and Brown, also available from us, polished the looks off to perfection. Model nails were done at the Langaro glam bar by our technicians Pelmar Gumbo, Salome Sylvester and Caroline Manyandgadze. See how many colours you can spot which all match a sultry red lip.
We’re incredibly proud of the success of the day and their partnership with Horses for Causes. We wish to express deep gratitude to everyone who brought the fashion show together in luxury and style especially project manager Clouds Drummond, videographer Shaun Smit, stills photographer Ronnie Belcher and online store manager Nicci Kruger. And thank you to the H4C team Andre Oosthuizen, Tracy Green, JJ Nosworthy, Wade Audagnotti and Brenton Joseph for creating such an auspicious platform for our launch.
